The housings of these FASTON 187 series Ultra-Fast tab crimp terminals are made from UL 94 V-2 type 6/6 nylon which completely enclose a tin plated copper alloy FASTON tab contact which is recessed within the housing to allow its use in 600V applications. These FASTON 187 series Ultra-fast tab terminals terminate 26-10 AWG solid, fused and stranded wire. The terminals meet UL and CSA dimensional requirements and when crimped with the matched ratchet tool, they meet the UL and CSA electrical performance tests. Ultra-Fast receptacles, flags and tabs are made from standard nylon which means the insulation bucket is not crimped onto the cable insulation to provide support. However, Ultra-Fast plus receptacles are made from a premium nylon which means the insulation can be crimped by the special die giving extra strain relief of the wire.
