These SOLISTRAND spade tongue terminals are made from fine grade high conductivity copper with tin plating and have closed barrels with brazed seams that create a uniform metal strength around the barrel. The inner surface of the barrels are either dimpled or serrated for maximum tensile strength and to maximise the electrical contact area after crimping. The bell shape barrel entrance of these SOLISTRAND spade tongue terminals makes the insertion of wires easier. Note For suitable hand crimp tool see stock number 817-325 and stock number 373-308 for die assembly or hand crimp tool stock number 162-3159 TE Connectivity SOLISTRAND Terminals and Splices The Solistrand range of terminals and splices are designed for solid, stranded or irregular shaped copper conductors and meet the requirements of BS4G178.Terminals are constructed of highly conductive annealed copper and have a brazed seam wire barrel. The terminals are electro tin plated with a serrated or dimpled surface to increase conductivity and provide extra tensile strength.,Wire sizes/terminals below 6·7mm² should be terminated with the AMP Certi-Lok tool 817-325 with the appropriate die set. All other sizes (6·7-60·5mm) being terminated with the Rota-Crimp tool 373-459. These tools must be used for Approvals to be valid.
